Julia Huang is the founder of Imprint Lab, and CEO of interTrend Communications, Inc.— one of the most innovative and fastest growing advertising and marketing agencies focused on the diverse and expanding Asian communities in the US. Established in 1991, interTrend is the recipient of dozens of awards for its pioneering achievements in the education and guidance of Fortune 500 companies such as Toyota Motors Sales USA, Northwest Airlines, JCPenney, State Farm Insurance and The Walt Disney Company.
TANYA RAUKKO
Curiosity and thoroughness have helped Tanya build a diversified career at companies such as Twentieth Century Fox, Oracle, Gartner Group, and NextLeft. Most recently as interTrend’s Managing Director of Strategic Planning, she built one of the company’s core assets: a planning team instrumental in the strategic direction of clients such as Toyota, State Farm, Disney, JCPenney, Nestle and AT&T. Tanya is crucial to the teams’ construction of strategic frameworks, guiding tactical thinking, brand strategy, positioning, consumer segment mapping, integrated marketing plans and most importantly: creating measurable business results.
JEFFREY NG
Jeffrey Ng, better known as jeffstaple, is a designer and entrepreneur. His work moves between market, industry and sector thresholds, making himself an icon of new branding. As the spokesperson for a generation of consumers that evade category, he has championed a multi-faceted approach to business. As the Founder and Creative Director of Staple Design he has ushered companies like Nike, LVMH, Uniqlo and Burton Snowboards into permanent iconography.
NARESH NAKRA
Naresh is a highly experienced executive with unique leadership experience, having successfully turned around companies with keen focus on team building, change management, operational excellence, and laser focus on customers. He has been able to put businesses on a growth trajectory through innovative new product introductions, new customer acquisition, new distribution channels, and increased consumer awareness and consumption. His emphasis on cost and inventory controls, productivity improvements, along with growth, have resulted in substation gains in shareholder value.
ANNE ISHII
Anne is a full-time writer, editor, and consultant based in New York City. With an academic background in French and Japanese literature, she was strategic in marketing the international boom in high-end Japanese graphic novels in the early 2000s, and still writes extensively for PBS, BUST, Nylon, The Comics Journal and The Village Voice. As a translator she has published fifteen books and as one of Imprint Lab’s directors she currently brokers and consults in active dialogue between international creatives and clients.
JOHN HALL
John is fortunate enough to come from a rich background in print publishing, fashion sales, graphic design, digital marketing, and e-commerce. Fresh out of college, John helped launch seminal NYC streetwear label Staple, and then went on to help push pioneering online retailer Digital Gravel to achieve triple-digit growth for several years. After that he explored the wider world of digital marketing, content creation and web design, helping brands like The Hundreds and Red Bull better communicate with their audiences in the process.
KEVIN KIM
Kevin is a self starter with a curiosity and thirst for innovation. After leaving Berkeley with an absurd degree in “Interdisicplinary Studies with a concentration in language and power,” Kevin landed at Imprint where his energetic entrepreneurial spirit has served him well. He’s played an integral role in the development of Imprint’s startups by hitting the ground floor running, knee deep in the business process, knowing what it takes to build a successful company. He also hopes to one day start up his own endeavor, following in the footsteps of other business giants like Branson, Murdock and Seinfeld.
